Empowering Technology password. I don't have one, and it won't let me change it without one. Catch 22. This is just frustrating as I need to Factory reset and can't.

hi, I have troubles, today i call acer support about this acer e-lock that pops up on my computer. they sent me an email to uninstall acer e-lock using control panel and add and remove but i don't have acer e-lock in my list so what do i do now?

Try removing it with the help of an uninstaller, you can try Revo Uninstaller, Perfect Uninstaller, or Unlocker.

This is another headache that locks you out of your own PC. Why would you need this to come equipped with your home PC. It is true, even if you don't forget the password it can lock you out of your system. Again it can appear you have other issues and support cannot always point you to the problem. Find a guru online if you want to get the answers. This is another Acer software you don't really need--translation useless. Uninstall it, if it will let you.
